Barry Conservation District Seeks Operations Manager
The Barry Conservation District is seeking a dynamic full-time Operations Manager to work alongside the Executive Director to carry out daily operations and ensure the District’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial goals. This position requires strong managerial and communication skills, excellent personal presence, and the ability to develop and administer budgets. Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in natural resources, business, or a related field and must pass a background check. Notice of Annual Board Meeting and Elections
Notice is hereby given that the Barry Conservation District Annual Meeting and Election will take place Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm at Walldorff Brewpub Ballroom at 105 E State St, Hastings, Michigan 49058.
Absentee ballots will be available for voting in this election by writing or calling the Barry Conservation District office, located at 1611 S Hanover St, Suite 105, Hastings, phone (269) 908-4139, during regular business hours which are between 8am and 3:30pm. All absentee ballots must be returned by 3:30pm on the 23rd day of February 2023. Residents are individuals of legal age who can demonstrate residency in the Conservation District via one (1) piece of identification. Notice is also given that in this election, one board seat, with a term of two (2) years, and two board seats, with a term of three (3) years each, will be filled. The candidates eligible for election by the completion and filing of a nominating petition are as follows: Sara Syswerda, Ben Reinhart, and Martin Buehler.
