American Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis)
The shrub is multi-stemmed with white flowers that produce a purple-black fruit. The fruit makes excellent wine, jam, or pie. The foliage changes with the seasons, in the spring it is bright green and then changes to yellow in the fall. It blossoms from June to July. |
